Marcina Langrine, Program Manager
Marcina assists with administration and program coordination at MEI. Her work during the COVID-19 pandemic was crucial in helping hundreds of Marshallese families remain in their homes. Marcina has developed training and workshops to raise awareness of violence against women and assists with MEI's cultural programming. She also works closely with Marshallese youth. As an assistant coordinator for MEI's Marshallese Academic Center, she promotes enrollment in higher education and educates Marshallese youth about the nuclear legacy and climate change. Marcina's clan is Rilujien Namo, and her parents are from Likiep, Maloelap, Majuro, and Mejit Atolls in the Marshall Islands. Marcina was born in Honolulu, Hawai'i.
